The Product
This is an annual or per trip travel insurance policy with no upper age limit for single trips.
All destinations are covered, and individuals up to an entire travelling party can be covered under the same policy. Cover can also be provided at low cost for a travelling companion (whose own policy may not pay out if their holiday is curtailed or costs are incurred due to their companion’s illness). The policy is ideal for older travellers and those with an existing medical condition. The application process is online, with a quote time of 6-7 minutes, including medical screening (which uses a plain English question set).
All medical conditions can be considered – the only exception being anyone travelling against their doctors’ orders. So, for example, someone currently receiving chemotherapy or radiotherapy can still be considered.
There are no standard premium rates, as each application is considered on its merits. Premiums are paid online using a credit or debit card. Commission is 20%, or 10% if the call centre is used.
