So here's a possible question for the next trivia night at North Bondi Surf Club: Which millionaire gave the most money to help build the club's new clubhouse? Check out the club's honour board, pictured, and its collection of well-known names. It's hard to imagineMalcolm Turnbull, Ron Brierley, John Fairfax and fund managers David Paradice and Ben Griffiths all donning speedos and the red and yellow surf caps to help out with patrols, but giving $100,000 might do the trick. Apparently five-figure donations just don't cut it at North Bondi, where you only become a gold donor. Do the arithmetic -- if the 12 names on the list all gave $100,000, that's a minimum of $1.2 million to kickstart the clubhouse's funds, although putting anything up at Bondi is going to cost a lot -- in this case, $6m. So here's another question for the trivia night -- who's been the best member for Wentworth in the federal parliament? Is he on this list? Think carefully -- the correct answer could see another boost to the club's building fund.
